….. so sad to hear the horrible news that A. Ron finally succumbed to that dreadful disease in the early evening of Saturday 07/12/2019, which she fought so bravely and so hard

The only thing that makes me glad, is that her fight was relatively short and that she is no longer in any pain - she is back by U. Colin’s side, and in his loving arms, in time for Christmas

The last time we spoke by video call, just about 10-days before she passed, she had ‘virtually’ met our new baby granddaughter Emmy, on FaceTime, with her oldest sister, my mum, Iris and my dad, Alan – she knew how much I had longed for a grandchild and she was so happy to ‘meet’ her

We always joked about grandchildren – I said she was greedy having so many (!) grandchildren and great grandchildren as I only wanted one!  She was so happy for me

I will miss our early evening phone calls, catching up and updating each other on family stuff and life in general

I shall continue to visit the memorial stone, as I do already from time to time, where she will soon be reunited with U. Colin, to bring flowers, have a tidy and have a chat

Will miss you lots, but this is not ‘goodbye’, just ‘see you again someday’ somewhere wonderful with loved ones ….. those we recently lost and those still missed

….. because what happens, and all that matters, in the end ….. is that you loved and were loved – safe travels  .....
