Sweet dreams Granny xx

I have many memories which I’ll treasure forever 💖

One being our trip to America. I remember wanting to surprise you by cleaning your bathroom ....I used bleach on your marble sink which stripped the top shinny stuff off :( I had never spent so much time hiding in a loo worrying about what you would say - My nice helpful plan backfired on me. I was in panic mode especially when I was being told to hurry up out of there. But you never screamed, you never shouted you thanked me for trying and that was the first time I recalled you say ‘don’t worry about the things you can’t solve’.

Another memory was doing my timetables at Ringwood Rd. You made me use the stairs to learn them. Every time I made a mistake I had to start from the bottom step again. It was long so long but thanks to you I know my 1 - 6x’s
You guys moved out for my 7.8 and 9s so never learnt them (don’t roll your eyes Nan 🙄)

Our walks over to Grandad. How I would sit on the bench listen to you talk to him as you cleaned away. ‘Shut your eyes Col’ just as you poured the water over his stone. Can here your voice saying it now 💔 I watched your every move, the soapy water you used the scrubbing brush and the toothbrush too scrub the small things ☺️ I’ll keep this up for you but will ask grandad to cover your face as I know you hated water on it.

You had a tough ride at the end Nan but you gave it your best shot. I won’t lie it was hard - Physically mentally and emotionally.
I’ll treasure the time we spent together the good days and bad. You was an amazing woman. A naughty, funny, loving, stubborn and strong Gran right too the very end.
You cared for me as your grand-daughter and I had the privilege caring for you as my Gran xx
